Sebastien Wind, owner and pastry chef, started baking and selling a small range of cakes on a little stall at Borough Market in 2005. Sebastien’s idea was simple: to bring the freshest and most authentic cakes every morning to his market stall.
Through hard work and passion, 6 years later, Comptoir Gourmand was born.
At Comptoir Gourmand, taste is essential. All our cakes are handcrafted and baked from scratch using high quality ingredients, such as French butter or French flour. Our cakes are a pleasure to your eyes and an absolute delight to your mouth. We believe in the taste of authenticity.
Our 5 all time winners are Macaroons, Chocolate Salted Caramel Tart, Lemon Meringue Tart, Pistachio Financier and the mighty French Croissant.
