Owner Mark makes everything from scratch, from the wonderfully soothing chicken soup with matzo balls to the incredibly delicious and tender Pastrami and Salt Beef. Every week 40kg of beef brisket is delivered and then brined for 6 days in Monty’s secret recipe cure. The Pastrami is then rubbed with a blend of spices and carefully smoked in an outdoor coal smoker for around seven hours. The sandwiches are hand-sliced and heavy-loaded New York style, and judging by the long queues, extremely sought after too.
